Gua Musang: Keratpi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has cleared the railway track buried by landslides at three locations between Gua Musang station and Bertam Baru last night.
KTMB corporate communications unit senior director, Mohd Fazil Ismail said the landslides caused two passenger trains – the regular train service from Tumpat to Kuala Lipis and the Ekspress Senandung Wau from Tumpat to Kuala Lumpur Sebtral – to be delayed by four hours.
He said the landslides that occurred at around 6.50pm yesterday were at Km348.50 to Km350.00 to Km350.25 and Km352.75 to Km353.00.
We cleared the buried tracks by about 10.50pm before allowing the two passenger trains to continue their journey,” he told Bernama.
Mohd Fazil said he expected the other passenger train service today and for several days to come to face delays as the trains had to move slowly at the affected locations.
“We expect delays of 30 to 40 minutes. However, we will try to ensure that the train services will run smoothly according to the schedule,” he said.
